Hi all!
I have a lovely 6 months old baby boy.. And it has always been my concern how to bring my baby for our holiday trips! What to pack and what not to.. My luggage has increased from Small size to Large since my baby was born! LoL*
Me too, has go on Google to search for Tip on travelling with baby to Bali, but i do not find much info. Hence i created this blog to assist some parents to plan their trip.
First of all, babies under 2 years old do not need to pay VOA or Departure Tax of Rupiah 150,000.
Pack light on diaper, you can get them easily in any convenience stores (i.e. K-Circle, M-Mart). You can get some basic baby toiletries like baby shampoo, baby lotion, etc here too!
As for baby food, my baby used to take Heinz baby food. It is NOT EASY to get in Bali. The only place i found this was in Matahari mart in Kuta. So, do pack enough from home.
We stayed in Hard Rock Hotel Bali during our whole stay in Bali. My baby followed us for breakfast every morning. I feed him with some plain porridge, fruits (he loves most of it!), juice dilute with water & some yogurt. He seems to love it and had great digestions throughout our stay.
If you are familiar with Mothercare product, then visit Discovery Mall near Waterboom. There are a wide range of Mothercare product there. They even sell waterproof diaper!
Swim! Yes, my 6 months old love the pool! Yes, it is OK to bring them to the pool! Just make sure you wrap your baby with dry pool towels after the swim. My baby loves it so much that he would return to the pool twice a day!
No baby chair was provided in most local restaurants. Except for the hotel we stayed.
Strollers... Bring 1 simple stroller with you. As the walkway in Bali is pretty hideous, be prepared to be carrying you baby and stroller while going out for a walk.
Here are my baby pics in Hard Rock Hotel Pool:
Loving Bali! Loving Hard Rock Hotel!! =)
